Senior Living Outreach

The AOC had a quality with seniors at the Senior Living outreach. The goal was to put joy in their world and share God’s love with them. Through dance, paint, crafts and games, the AOC hopes to have contributed to reducing anxiety and improving the memory of the elderly citizens.

The Act of Compassion would like to invite you to its first annual fundraising event. The AOC works with individuals in the Kansas-City area and in Chad, Central Africa to bring education and encouragement to women. Education brings opportunities and character to those that have it made available to them; and from there, generations are affected. You can be a part of this noble effort.

Day of Awareness
July 2-3, 2015 · Bebalem Village, Chad
Our mission statement is about the promotion of the increase of learning and wisdom, therefore, the Act of Compassion is grateful to God that it was made possible to host an awareness day on the importance of being educated. Due to the high rate of adult illiteracy and the high number of girls who have dropped out of school in that community, the Act of Compassion hosted an educational discussion with the girls and women in the village of Bebalem , Chad. This awareness event was attended by 210 women as well as 100 school girls from the community. The girls in attendance benefited from feminine products donated by Days For Girls International, NE team.
Night of Encouragement

In collaboration with Sheffield Place, The Act of Compassion sponsored a "Night of Encouragement" to the homeless mothers and their children who currently reside in Sheffield Place's temporary shelter. Dinner and drinks were supplied along with live music, testimonies, games, and most importantly time to listen, chat and encourage these women and their children.
One By One Project Event

In collaboration with the One By One Project, the Act of Compassion served as volunteers to reinforce One By One's 3rd Annual Strike Out Trafficking Charity Softball & Kickball Tournament event in Lee's Summit, MO. The purpose of the event was to raise money to provide a place for victims of human trafficking. The AOC members helped facilitate the events as well as sell tickets and products.
Celebrate Your Life With God! Awakening Hopes & Dreams

In collaboration with House of Hope and M-M-Movement International, The Act of Compassion conducted an all day event for the residents of the House of Hope group home. The teen girls were embraced within an encouraging, compassionate and loving atmosphere where they were taught dance and theater. They were also invited to hear guest speakers share stories of hope and redemption as they were inspired to follow their hopes and dreams.
